This is the picture that captured the spirit of my latest novel, The Long Way Home.
Set on the West Indian island of Dominica, The Long Way Home is a dual time line story that captures the imagined romance of a character from Book 1 in the Island Secrets Series, Holding Paradise.
In Book 1 we meet the character Rose who is the mother of Josephine and grand-mother of Angelica, the two leading women in Book 1.
As we don't get to know very much about Rose, who plays a significant role in Holding Paradise, I just had to create a story for her. It is essentially a love story, well two actually as it's dual narrative.
The Long Way Home is out on 21st May and below is the book trailer:
